Tart Workshop: Apple Frangipane Tart and Citrus Tart at Beyond Pastry Studio

Hands-On Baking Class

Join us for a hands-on tart workshop where you’ll learn to make two of our signature tart flavors: a bright citrus tart (lemon or lime, depending on seasonal availability) and an apple frangipane tart.


PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING.


In this workshop, you’ll:

  • Batch mix and prepare our signature tart dough from scratch
  • Learn blind-baking techniques for a crisp crust
  • Make a citrus curd with a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness
  • Prepare a frangipane filling
  • Tart assembly.
  • Finish and decorate your tarts
  • Meringue for citrus tart - demo


What you’ll take home:

  • One 6-inch Apple Frangipane Tart
  • 6 mini citrus tarts (about 3 inches each) with meringue and citrus curd


Workshop Details:

  • We offer two time slots. Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. You can choose what works best for you by clicking the Schedule button below.
  • Duration: 3.5 hours
  • Location: Beyond Pastry Studio – 1067 Alakea Street
  • Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate

This workshop is held in a bakery that uses wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and tree nuts. We are unable to accommodate requests for allergen-free products or ensure an allergen-free environment.


Important Info:

  • Workshops are limited to a maximum of six participants, allowing us to offer more personal attention and hands-on learning.
  • Parking is available right around the corner at Aliʻi Place Parking Garage for $3.00 for the first 2 hours. Each additional 30 minutes is $1.50. We don’t validate, but it’s one of the most affordable options downtown. They take CASH ONLY.
  • Please wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Arrive 15 minutes early to check i.n
  • Bookings are non-refundable, but seats may be transferred with advance notice.


Please be aware that we may need to extend class time if the group requires extra guidance; however, we’ll aim to finish on schedule. Kindly plan your day accordingly.
