Hands-On Baking Class
Learn how to bake our signature favorites! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll master the techniques behind our best-loved breads, the same ones that keep our customers coming back for more. Roll, shape, and bake alongside us, then take home what you make.

What You’ll Learn:
- How to make enriched dough from scratch
- Proper kneading, fermentation, and resting
- Shaping and filling methods
- Proofing and baking for soft, golden crusts
- Creative finishing: glazes, toppings, and more
- Storage and reheating tips for home bakers
What You’ll Make:
Each participant will make and take home our signature breads, Ham & Cheese Roll, Parmesan Balsamic Mushroom Bun, Mixed Berries Milkbread, and Chocolate Basket.
Bonus: Guava Lime Ensaymada (demo)
Workshop Details:
- We offer two time slots. Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. You can choose what works best for you by clicking the Schedule button below.
- Duration: 3 hours
- Location: Beyond Pastry Studio – 1067 Alakea Street
- Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
What's Included:
- All tools, ingredients, and baking supplies
- Use of an apron during class
- Boxes of assorted freshly-baked breads to take home
- Printed recipe sheet
- Light refreshment (coffee, tea, light snack)

This workshop is held in a bakery that uses wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and tree nuts. We are unable to accommodate requests for allergen-free products or ensure an allergen-free environment.
Important Info
- Workshops are limited to a maximum of six participants, enabling us to provide more personalized attention and hands-on learning.
- Parking is available right around the corner at Aliʻi Place Parking Garage for $3.00 for the first 2 hours. Each additional 30 minutes is $1.50. We don’t validate, but it’s one of the most affordable options downtown. They take CASH ONLY.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes.
- Arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
- Bookings are non-refundable, but seats may be transferred with advance notice.
